Roberto Luongo made 26 saves for his third straight shutout, setting personal and franchise records while leading the Canucks to a 2-0 victory over the Blue Jackets on Thursday night.

Jarome Iginla has several of the Flames' franchise marks in his sights. He took care of the first one on Thursday. Iginla became the Flames' all-time leader in games played when he took the ice against the defending Stanley Cup champion Ducks, skating in his 804th regular-season contest with the club.

Flyers center Daniel Briere, Coyotes goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov and Stars goaltender Mike Smith on Monday were named the NHL's "Three Stars" of the past week. Briere earned the First Star after scoring a league-leading eight points, including a pair of game-winning goals.

Rick DiPietro chose not to dwell on his 100th NHL win and his one punch to Sean Avery's head. The face of the Islanders' franchise stopped 18 shots Monday night and led his club to a 2-1 win over the Rangers. It was his 10th against Long Island's biggest rival including all three matchups this season.

Can he make it three? Centre Vincent Lecavalier of the Lightning was named the NHL's first star for the second week in a row Monday. Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov was the second star and Predators winger Martin Erat was the third star.

"Big Bird" will ascend to the rafters of the Bell Centre on Monday. The Canadiens will raise Larry Robinson's No. 19 sweater prior to Monday night's game against the Senators. Given the nickname "Big Bird" for both his large frame and curly mop of reddish-blonde hair which cast a resemblance to the Sesame Street character, Robinson will become the 13th Montreal player to have his sweater retired.

Mats Sundin is solidifying his reputation as one of the greatest players to ever skate for the Maple Leafs. Years from now, many Leafs' fans will be saying he was the best of them all, and they'll have good reason. Having already passed Hockey Hall of Famers' Dave Keon and Darryl Sittler for most goals and points in club history, Marvellous Mats equalled the goals output of another former NHL and Leafs' great, Frank Mahovlich, during a 3-0 victory over the Senators on Saturday night.

After seven stellar seasons with the Oilers, Paul Coffey brought his amazing skills to the Steel City. On Thursday, the Penguins honored him for his accomplishments. Prior to their game against the Islanders, the Penguins held a ceremony inducting Coffey into the team's Hall of Fame.

Vincent Lecavalier turned a slow start into a dominating performance. Lecavalier had three goals and two assists to set a team record with his sixth consecutive multipoint game, leading the Tampa Bay Lightning past the Carolina Hurricanes 6-1 on Wednesday night. Lecavalier scored twice and also assisted on goals by Paul Ranger and Martin St. Louis during a five-goal second period that put the Lightning ahead 5-0. The center, who has five goals and 11 points over his past six games, completed the hat trick with a short-handed breakaway goal with 5:09 remaining in the third. "I couldn't find him in the first period," Tampa Bay Coach John Tortorella said. "It's unbelievable how he played in the second period." Johan Holmqvist made 28 saves for the Lightning, who have won four in a row after a six-game skid. Tampa Bay also got a goal from Vinny Prospal.
